Growing up one block for the Western Maryland mainline got my interest in trains started at an early age. This area has a large number of train related attractions within easy driving distance. Here are some albums of photos taken at several of the locations. Western Maryland is long gone and has been replaced by the Maryland Midland short line running from Union Bridge through Thurmont and on to Blue Ridge Summit.
