The Robert S. Kinnaird Collection of Historic Thurmont Photographs is compiled from images generously provided by many area residents, the Thurmont Historical Society and my personal collection. This album is dedicated to the memory of my father Robert S. Kinnaird and reflects my families deep appreciation for Thurmont, it's history and residents. My thanks to everyone who made this work possible.

The following version is a work in progress and has the ability to search for images using key words. This version is a data base driven version and allows for a wide range of search options including image title and tags.  As an example enter the word “Beck” into the search box and all images tagged with “Beck” will be shown. Keep in mind that this version currently has a limited number of images in the database, but new images will be added on a regular basis.

 

There are two seperate versions of the photo album available.  The first is sorted based on the image name.  As an example to view images of Thurmont High School click the “Thurmont Images T” folder.  This album is not searchable, please scroll down to the second version to search for specific images.
